The Shed Shop at the Timber Yard is a tiny emporium of carefully made, hand poured soy wax candles, soy wax melts, greetings cards and gifts handmade on site. You can also buy Ready To Burn hardwood logs and kindling.
The shop in the timber yard near Easingwold opened in 2023, and is open to visitors when the sign is out or by appointment. You can also find us at local markets and fairs, visit our calendar for more information.
Our Story
Our Ingredients
We use only the finest ingredients in our candles and melts, natural, vegan, botanical soy wax, essential oils and cotton wicks. Our commitment to quality means you can feel good about burning our candles in your home as there are no fossil based ingredients, ensuring a clean burn, no soot and as it is vegetable wax and hypoallergenic it is less likely to trigger allergies. It is biodegradable and can be composted. We only use European manufactured wax in our candles and melts. This is high-grade, non GMO, sustainable ProTerra Foundation certified Soy. It produces a beautiful, creamy candle that holds fragrances well and has a fantastic scent throw.
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches on site to ensure the highest quality. We seldom dye our products but when we do we use professionally sourced, environmentally friendly products. Visual enhancements include biodegradable glitter, dried flowers & herbs. Our candle jars and containers are made from recycled or repurposed glass where possible. We pay attention to every detail, from choosing the perfect scent, vessel or embellishment, to carefully packaging each candle or melt for shipping.
