WORKSHOPS
Join us and make 2 fabulously fragranced 190ml candle jars. Wick up your jar, pour your wax and learn about soy wax, fragrances and vessels. Enjoy some light refreshment then design the labels for your candle jars.
Each workshop will last for approximately 90 minutes. All materials are included in the price. Cost depends on venue. Workshops at The Timber Yard include light refreshments and cost £30 per person.
Suitable for age 12 and up. Age 12 to 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Price may vary depending on the venue.
Make 2 candles...
Learn about different waxes and why we choose soy wax. Why temperature is important and different methods for melting wax. Why clean, dry vessels look best and find out about different types and sizes of wick.
Design your labels
What is essential oil? What is fragrance oil? Why is what you use to fragrance a candle important? Natural verses synthetic. What works with which wax and how heat can affect the scent of both the fragrance and the wax.
Take home and enjoy!
When you have poured your candle it needs to set. Enjoy a drink and some home baking. Once refreshed you can create an elegant label for the lid of your candle jar. By the time you leave it should be set enough to travel.
